Stop losing focus just because you have a smartphone

Stop losing focus just because you have a smartphone.

Good focus is a sure thing to have for every serious athletes, but the distractions are many.

More than you probably think.

It's not about removing all smartphones, rather finding a balance.

All the "checks" you make - take you away from the attention to what is important.

The over-consumption of picking up your smartphone destroys for you in the sports arena.

You lose more and more "edge" to focus on for long periods of time.

The app I am testing now - MOMENT - keeps track of the number of connections you make on your mobile and also the number of hours / minutes you are there.

In the book - Digital Minimalist by Cal Newport - the author says that some young people are connected 9 hours a day on smartphones.

Luckily I am not there yet but I will try to reduce down significantly.

The first 24 hours I used the app have been exciting - notice my bad habit of checking often.

And in fact - it feels a little peaceful to stop myself.

33 "check ins" the first day - even though I tried to be "good".

How many times do you check in per day?
